At the tenth week of pregnancy your baby will measure between 27-33 millimeters from crown to rump. He/she will weigh almost 4 grams. His hands, fingers, toes and legs are fully formed. External ear, joints and upper lip have developed and external genitalia appear. Your baby at the tenth week can also move vigorously, breathe amniotic fluid and urinate. But it is still early for the mother to feel the baby’s movements.
Pregnancy symptoms at this stage include slight morning sickness, fatigue, tenderness in breasts and frequent urination. Constipation is also a common symptom but laxatives are not advised. Eating a high fibre diet and drinking lots of water combined with exercise will prevent further health problems. Iron supplements can also cause constipation but you should not stop using them without consulting a health care professional.
