Fruits are a good way of detoxifying your body as they take care of your craving for sugar and also have a lot of fiber in them. This helps in keeping the hunger pangs away and you can have a bowl of cut fruits ready to pop whenever you feel the need to eat something. Going on an all fruit diet for a day helps to clean up your system. According to intuitionalists red fruits like strawberries and cranberries are good fruits to have when you are cleaning up your system.
If you cannot do without a meat dish then your can have some baked or broiled fish instead. Fish like halibut and salmon have oils which help the body and will satisfy your craving for meat. Garlic is a very powerful detox food and helps to combat infections and take care of your liver and heart. So if you can stomach the smell and taste of garlic this is a great food to have while detoxifying your system.
Green leafy vegetables, broccoli and limes are another great food to have in plenty while you are cleaning up your systems. Lime juice is beneficial in many ways and is packed with vitamin C. It is easy to have a lot of water to drink on a detox day with lime juice added to it. This not only helps to clean the system it also gives your system more immunity. Both lime juice and greens have antioxidants in it and this is very necessary to repair the damage which happens from time to time in your system.
